SpeedBump lil d

a tour of Denton visual artists

May 23, 2026 • 11a - 4p

Check back in late April for an interactive map of 2026 artists and locations

SpeedBump lil d is a free, one day tour of visual artists in Denton. Artists are invited to think creatively about how the public can engage with their art. This can include, but isn’t limited to, opening up their home studios, showing at a local business or art space, creating an installation in their front yard, or having a gallery pop-up in their domestic space.

SpeedBump lil d was established by Anna Galluzzi and Delaney Smith Vaughn in 2022, and grew out of their love and appreciation for Visual SpeedBump Oak Cliff (est. 2000).

  • A link to a Google map of stops can be found on the website prior to the event. Use this interactive map to visit each location to interact, view, and support local artists.

  • SpeedBump lil d is hosted once a year on a Saturday in late May. SpeedBump lil d is always the weekend after Visual Speedbump Art Tour in Oak Cliff so everyone can attend both events.

  • SpeedBump lil d is entirely free for attendees and the artists involved. Some artists may have wares for sale, but there is no cost to attend the event. We ask that you do register: Click here to RSVP. Additionally, we do accept donations via our website. Click here to donate.

  • We are based on the “Oak Cliff Visual SpeedBump Art Tour” that was created by artists Chuck & George 24 years ago. Each location is a “Visual SpeedBump” to stop at. After getting permission from Chuck & George, we decided we needed to start one in Denton, hence the lil d addition.
