Anna Street Studios will feature two galleries on the Speedbump Lil d 2026 Tour.  In the front gallery, work from Seaborn, Black, Pawlowicz and Morin will be featured. In the other gallery will be the live photo event called Threshold Portraits with Morin and Murillo Tinnen to take multiple exposure photographs of attendees, and each participant will receive a free small print. This activity is funded with the support of the Greater Denton Arts Council.

How do women shift their identities when moving between two or more cultures? Artistic collaborators and close friends Tesa Morin and Lupita Murillo Tinnen explore this question with their digitally layered photographs that reference cultural assimilation, self-expression, and the movement of individuals on the threshold of something new.

Susan Seaborn is a Denton-based artist and owner/curator at Anna Street Studios.  She received her BFA from UNT and her MFA from TWU.

Rachel Black has taught studio art and core courses at UNT CVAD since 2003 and is currently a Principal Lecturer in Foundations. Black's research takes her hiking to beautiful places which become the inspiration for large-scale landscapes in oil.

Elaine Pawlowicz has taught Painting and Drawing and Foundation courses at UNT since 2006.  Her paintings are inspired by the Chicago Imagist Tradition. The style is magical realism, where the space is flat with an idiosyncratic perspective. The paintings are speckled with tiny characters swallowed up by neon color fields. These highly personalized narratives are slightly ambiguous and peculiarly lighthearted.
