Carrion Creek Studio is a collaboration between painter and sculptor Parisa Nozari and mixed-media creative Kenneth Saintonge, with featured artist Candice Robberson. Parisa and Kenneth's individual and shared work pulls inspiration from nature, mundane experiences, and discarded/found objects. Their works are comprised of various media including photography, oil, acrylic, watercolor, linoleum block print, clay, organic and manmade found object sculptures and arrangements. Candice is a painter and gremlin-like assembler of garbage and trinkets. Raised in Longview, TX, her attendance at Catholic school tempered both her awe and fondness for religious iconography. This influence is evident in the deconstruction of religious themes through a kaleidoscopic lens, welcoming viewers into a stained-glass colored schemed world of the divinely absurd.
