Indigo Community Dye • Drop in activity

This island is too beautiful not to share. Marshall High Studios was once a school, an institution that serves the public, so it makes complete sense to teach here. On Saturday, December 2, Eyeland's doors were open to visitors who came to experience the magic of indigo. We dyed napkins to bundle as gifts, yarn to weave into something fantastic, and gave new life to several garments.

It was my first time using a ferrous (iron) indigo vat, and I vow to never go back to using thiox again.  The Maiwa blog, and Michel Garcia's 1-2-3 ratio on Botanical Color's blog proved to be most useful. I plan to keep this vat going, and hopefully have another community indigo dye day in the next few months!
