You must bring your own sewing machine, but no experience is necessary!

If you are interested in collaborating with us, bring scrap fabric to contribute to our Collaborative Cloth. This is an experimental project where we continuously add to and take from for use in personal projects over the course of 2023.

Sew Gold Happy Hour - June 2023 - Basic Blocks with Lillia!

Join us Saturday morning for sewing happy hour! Grab a beverage and let’s go to town on unfinished projects. You must bring your own sewing machine, but no experience is necessary!

This month, Lillia Whittington, local sewing entrepreneur, will be showing us how to make a basic bodice block, which is the foundation for pattern making and is tailored to your measurements. We will be following instructions from the Helen Joseph pattern book. Want to join us?

You’ll need:
• Pencil & eraser
• Yardstick/long straight edge ruler (we will have some to share)
• Flexible measuring tape (we will have some to share)
• 2 poster boards or two large writing surfaces, 28 x 22 inches minimum (Check Thistle!)

Suggested Donation: $5-$15 (depending on financial situation. proceeds go to Lillia this month)
