HP Bloomer makes high end functional ceramics with a focus on design highlighting the intersection between the natural world and urban development. His designs draw inspiration from industrial design, architecture, fashion, textiles, and a punk rock DIY ethic. He has been an active maker for 23 years and has been exhibiting internationally for the last 12 years.
He is represented by Lilstreet in Chicago, Anderson Ranch Art Center, The Carbondale Clay Center, Cobb Mountain Art & Ecology Project and Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts. He has been an artist in residence in several esteemed residency programs and has work held in a number of well respected private and public collections.
